The Life-Box based on the Dideco oxygenationsystem ECC.O5.
The ECC.O5 is the newest innovation in the Dideco mini bypass line of oxygenators. The oxygenator module utilizes polymethylpentene fiber, developed specially to avoid plasma breakthrough in long term clinical use up to 5 days. The system can be used in routine mini bypass to eliminate completely the blood-air interface, rendering the system completely closed in every way. The ECC.O5 includes a highly efficacous bubble trap with a 120 micron filter screen as well as an efficient integrated centrifugal pump (RevolutionTM). The system can be easily converted from a mini bypass system to a long term support system should long term support be required. ECC.O5 is 100% phosphorylcholine coated, and combined with its small surface area/elimination of the blood air interface, ECC.O5 represents the peak of biocompatibility. |
